P a u s e // 2021 was supposed to be the year that P a u s e //
2021 was supposed to be the year that things happened again. Fun things like travel. This week has been really tough, with a small medical procedure turning into the need for full flown surgery. Its been a heart breaking week knowing that I'll need to hang up my travel shoes for just a little bit longer.

Long story short I have a chronic condition - endometriosis. This will be my 5th surgery and with each surgery there comes a whole bucket full of risks. But it needs to be done. Having endometriosis doesn't just mean heavy or painful periods. Its a constant battle between my mind and my body, pain, fatigue, nausea and more. For years there's been multiple hormone therapies I've tried, surgeries, natural options. Each time I end up back in the surgeons hands. Usually I dont talk too much because I don't want to be the victim, but this week's news was a real kick in the vagina.
March is endometriosis awareness month (ironic or what considering my situation) and there is still very little research on this debilitating condition. And its time for us to be open and start getting things moving for better research, support and finding some kind of cure!
If you want to learn more head over to @endometriosisaustralia or listen to @i_weigh episodes with Dr Gunther. Or hit me up if you have questions.

Creative ways to make coffee when camping.
Just because we are camping doesn't mean we eat sausages in bread or drink instant coffee. A few bits and pieces added to our camping essentials and its lattes for days.

When you have coffee on the road are you a long black lover or a creamy latte licker?

Thanks to @nuddycoffee for the generous gift of fresh coffee beans.
